Maria's passion for music began in early childhood and has been an integral part of her life ever since. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music, received a Music Together teaching certification, and became a director of her center - Music Together with Maria. After two decades working as a nanny, Maria is returning to her musical roots - combining her experience with children, her knowledge of music, and her love for teaching. She finds immense joy when playing or listening to music, and understands the power music has to educate and inspire. Maria and her husband moved to the Greater Austin area to be closer to their grandchild, embarking on a new midlife-adventure. When she’s not teaching music or spending time with family, Maria loves walking with her four rescue dogs, singing, enjoying the beautiful Texas sunsets, swimming, practicing yoga, and dancing. And of course, playing her flute.
